Camera Specs

The camera I've chosen to purchase for this course is the Canon EOS Rebel T6.

Its' portable, lightweight design, and easy to use interface were among the reasons I chose this model. In working with the camera, I learned that it has a built-in wifi connection. This has come in very handy when transferring photos to my laptop/phone. I also learned that it has a wide variety of automatic shooting settings; things like landscape, night, portrait, etc. As someone who has never owned or shot with a DSLR it's comforting to have these modes as a safety net. It means that I can experiment with shots/settings without worrying about how setting the exposure, aperture (so on so forth) might negatively affect my photos. The Rebel T6 has a 9-point auto focus system, giving the camera a greater ability to focus when taking photos of moving subjects (something I learned while taking the moving photo for our first assignment). The kit I purchased came with 18-55mm, 58mm+ wide angle, and 2x telephoto lenses, I'm excited to experiment with these as this course progresses!
